The machine is designed for rounding the spine of book blocks with a swinging shoe after cutting the blocks from three sides. It is used as an operating machine in book production in small and medium editions.
It is possible to round not only stitched with threads, but also seamlessly fastened with edging (preheated) book blocks. The size and quality of rounding for different volumes and block formats is ensured by varying two main process parameters: the number of impacts of the block on the block and the degree of pressing the block against the block (table level adjustment).
The block is located on a spring-loaded and height-adjustable table and, during the processing period, is manually fed by the operator under the block. After rounding one side of the block (with the required number of strikes on it with the block), the operator turns the block over and processes its other side in the same way.
