Book-inserting machine is designed for inserting blocks into binding covers. Works in both semi-automatic and automatic modes. It is used for the manufacture of both single and serial products.
A feature of the machine is its high productivity and the possibility of preliminary preparation of the machine for block defects, as well as the maximum exclusion of manual operations, in order to avoid defects due to the presence of a human factor.
The machine has a block divider device, automatic block feeding on the wing, automatic roll-down rollers for rolling the cover to the block (it calenders the cover installed on the block).
In this case, the machine operates in one of three modes:
- adjustment (for adjusting the machine to the manufactured products);
- semi-automatic (maximum comfort for the operator's work - 1 person);
- automatic (maximum productivity at which the machine can be serviced by either one or two operators, depending on the required productivity).
The operator places the cover on the tables in the stops manually. Then, through the divider, it introduces the block onto the feeding conveyor. After installing the block and cover, it instructs the machine to execute the cycle.
The machine independently brings the block to the desired (installed) place, lifts it and glue the endpapers of the block with glue, then sets the block into the cover set on the tables, rolls the cover onto the block and brings the finished product to the upper position.
At the final stage, the operator manually removes the finished product and gives the machine a command to be ready for the starting position. Due to the fact that the machine has mechanical settings that exclude operator intervention, where errors usually occur due to the human factor, the number of rejects is reduced in comparison with imported counterparts.
Due to high ergonomics and a reduction in the number of manual operations performed by the operator, the machine has a significantly higher productivity compared to imported counterparts.
