Designed for crimping the spine zone of book blocks in the conditions of book production at printing enterprises of small and medium capacity.
Two-position press, i.e. the movable shoe moves horizontally between the left and right fixed shoes. This arrangement allows the operator to install the next block in the press (on the spine) during the crimping of the previous block. After starting the press by pressing the “left” or “right” buttons, the movement of the movable block in one direction or the other, its stop and the necessary standing occurs automatically.
The right fixed shoe can be adjusted to the thickness of the block (screw-on) to set the optimal gap between the movable and fixed shoe for convenient block loading. On the movable block there are spring-loaded jaws of the block pre-clamping. The design of the press allows, if necessary, to adjust the pressing force and process blocks with a thickness of up to crimping from 70 mm to 140 mm in one position.
