The Case Maker KDM Kombayn is intended for the production of hardcover book covers, certificates, grade books, passes, diplomas, covers for photo albums (including work with silicone photo paper), and laminating works including slimming and has a capacity of up to 250 covers per hour.

KDM Kombayn is designed to work with small and medium runs. It works with both cold and hot glue. For these purposes, the recommended glue Brikol - KJ-107, KJ-109 (manufactured by Kleyzhelatinprom, Russia). The advantage of using this glue is the fact that the finished product can be transferred to the customer or put into further processing 2-3 minutes after the completion of the manufacturing process, which is not achievable with cold glue.

The advantages of hot glue are realized thanks to the special device of the KDM Kombayn and its units; those. This is provided by a water bath with an integral temperature control sensor, which allows you to measure both the temperature of the water bath itself and the temperature of the heated glue from the inside. These features allow KDM Kombayn to easily work with Russian and Chinese-made case makers and produce products with a record low cost price, high productivity and a minimum amount of scrap.

KDM Kombayn is produced in two power supply options - 220 or 380 Volts and can be offered in two main formats: 500mm x 700mm / 500mm x 900mm. The format of the machine can be changed at the request of the customer.

The KDM Kombayn also allows the operator to choose the principle of its operation: a lid-making machine or a laminating machine (without bending the edges - only calendering) for this, the operator moves the toggle switch to the CYCLE 1 position (bending the valves with access to the front table) or KALANDR. At the request of the customer, all 5 operating modes of the device can be installed on the KDM Kombayn.

KDM Kombayn consists of 3 main parts:

• gluing machine (standard shaft length is 500mm, production of 700mm is possible);
• an assembly table with stops and a connected vacuum blower (the possibility of connecting an additional option - a backlight for positioning the liner (cover) by marks);
• a device for folding the flaps (edges) of the bookcase cover (disconnectable / connected) and a calendering device.

The principle of operation on KDM Kombayn with the basic configuration:

• The operator feeds the liner to the glue machine, which applies the glue over the entire plane of the liner and gives it back to the operator with the glue upward; at the client's request, the glue machine can be completed not only with reversal nibs, but also with linear nibs.
• Further, the operator, having received the liner with glue applied to it, positions it on the assembly table, while the vacuum is turned on completely or sectorially, or off and lowers the stops. The sides and the spine (roots) are installed in the stops.
• Next, the operator raises the stops for laying the sides and squeezes the pedal of the stops of the liner, and then sends it to the edge bending device (valves), where both edges (valves) are folded and calendered. In this case, only one pair of edges is closed.
• After closing the first pair of edges, the operator turns the lid 90 degrees, squeezes the corners and sends it to secondary calendering and closing the second pair of edges. Then he gets the finished product back in his hands and puts it on the finished product table, which is on his right hand.

Table illumination, manual valve bending and additional controller programs are installed when ordering as a separate function and are paid additionally.
